Sometimes You Just Need Someone to Talk It Through
Real conversations with people who've been where you are.
Courses are great for learning a new way to think about your career. But your situation is yours: your money, your boss, your timeline, the thing you haven't said out loud yet. When that's what's in the way, it helps to sit down with a person.
Coaching or counselling? Here's how we think about it.
Career coaching
Coaching is about moving. You know roughly where you want to go, or you need to, and you want someone alongside you for the plan, the practice and the follow-through. Your resume, your LinkedIn, how you come across, a job search that’s gone quiet.
Career counselling
Counselling is about thinking. You’re stuck, torn, or not sure what you want, and you need room to work it out with someone who listens and asks good questions. Stay or go, employee or entrepreneur, a career that no longer fits.
What people usually come to us for
- "I'm stuck and I don't know what's next." Getting clear on where you are and what you want.
- "I want to change careers." Working out whether, what to and when, without blowing up your finances..
- "My resume and LinkedIn don't sound like me." Making them honest, clear and easy to read.
- "I'm not sure how I come across." Shaping your reputation so it matches who you are and where you're headed.
- "Should I stay employed or start something?" Weighing both sides with real numbers.
- "I finished a course, now what?" Turning what you learned into a plan with dates on it.
How it works
Tell us a little.
Talk.
Decide.
Who you'll talk to
Right now, the person you’ll talk to is our founder, and, for now, your coach.
Haroon has 33+ years of rich and varied professional experience, having worked with many Fortune 100 to 500 firms across multiple continents, industries, and roles. His hands-on experiences in various US states and Canadian provinces have given him a solid grasp of the North American market.
Throughout his career, he has successfully led large global teams, recruited over 3,000 people for major projects working very closely with both the internal sourcing teams and staffing companies, and mentored thousands of professionals, from engineers to the C-suite. He’s held senior leadership roles, managed large global teams and built ventures of his own, so he’s seen both the security of an organization and the freedom of going it alone. He’ll tell you the trade-offs of both.
As we grow, we’ll add more coaches and counsellors. We’ll only add people who’ve done the work in real careers and real organizations, and we’ll introduce each one here, the same way.
