Most career advice is generic. A template, a slogan, a list of ten tips that fit nobody in particular. We started CareerCanny because we kept seeing the same thing: people in careers they never really chose, and advice that didn’t help when it counted.
So we built something different. Honest courses, and real conversations with real people about your actual situation.
Who you'll be dealing with
Right now, the person you’ll talk to is our founder, and he brings more than three decades of professional experience to every conversation.
As we grow, we’ll bring in more coaches and counsellors. We’ll only add people who’ve done the work in real careers and real organizations, and we’ll introduce each one here, the same way: who they are, and what they’ve actually done.

Where Gloria Institute fits in
CareerCanny has a sister, Gloria Institute of Advanced Professional Studies, opening soon. It’s a separate business with a different focus: software engineering security certifications and diplomas. CareerCanny is careers, and only careers. The one place they meet is our learning platform. Our career courses are delivered on a platform hosted by Gloria Institute, so you’ll see its name when you sign in to your course.
And if you’re studying at Gloria Institute and want to talk your career through with a real person, you can book with us directly. Each does its own job, and they work well side by side.

For now, sessions run during Eastern Time business hours, because that’s where we are. We hope to add coaches and counsellors in more time zones as we grow.
